Seacow Technology Pty. Ltd. was founded on a straightforward idea: most organisations do not want a cloud vendor. They want a team that will take responsibility for the platform and still be there at 3am.
Why we started
We came out of platform and SRE teams at Australian scale-ups and enterprises, and we kept seeing the same failure.
An organisation would engage a large integrator for a migration, receive an impressive slide deck and a competent-looking architecture, and then be handed a production environment nobody wanted to own. The consultants left. The runbooks were never written. The on-call rotation fell back on two people, and within a year at least one of them had resigned.
So Seacow was built the other way around: the people who design it are the people who run it. That single constraint changes every decision. You do not over-engineer something you will be paged about. You do not skip the runbook when it is your own weekend at stake. And you tell a customer honestly when a workload should not move, because you are the one who will operate it if it does.
Eleven years later that is still the whole model. We have grown slowly and deliberately, because a managed service business that grows faster than it can hire senior engineers becomes exactly the thing we left.
Registered entity
Verifiable on the Australian Business Register. Our registered office address is not published; it appears in contract documentation and is provided on request during procurement.
Six commitments we put in writing
Not values on a wall. Each of these is a clause in the services agreement, and each one costs us something.
You own everything
Infrastructure code, pipelines, dashboards and documentation live in your repositories and your accounts from day one. There is no Seacow black box to be held hostage by.
Named people
You get a lead engineer and an account director by name. Escalation goes to a person who knows your architecture, not to a queue.
Runbook before pager
No alert is allowed to page anyone until there is a written, tested response for it. Alerts that fire without a useful action get fixed or deleted.
Honest billing
Fixed service fee. AWS consumption at cost. No percentage-of-savings, no markup, no incentive to keep your bill high.
Blameless, but written down
Every P1 gets a post-incident report within five business days — cause, timeline, what we changed. Shared with you whether or not it flatters us.
Easy to leave
Thirty days' notice after the initial term, plus a documented handover pack and a walkthrough. A customer who stays because leaving is hard is not a customer we want.

We hire experienced engineers rather than building a pyramid. Every person on a customer account has run production systems themselves, and every person on the on-call roster has worked on your account during business hours.

24×7 roster, incident command, observability engineering, runbook authorship and testing.

Guardrails, detection engineering, compliance mapping, incident response, evidence automation.

What procurement will ask for
- Information Security Management System aligned to ISO/IEC 27001
- Background checks and confidentiality agreements for all delivery staff
- Least-privilege, time-bound access to customer accounts with full audit trail
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance held
- Business continuity plan tested annually
- Sub-processor register with hosting locations and change notice
- Right-of-audit clauses accepted as standard, not negotiated as an exception
We say aligned to ISO 27001 rather than certified against it, because those are different things and the distinction matters to an assessor. Certificates and insurance documents are provided on request during procurement.

Support tooling that touches customer data is hosted in Australia. Our sub-processor register lists every location and is available to customers on request.
